Fulton County Vice Chair Khadijah Abdur-Rahman of the “Mighty District 6” is being recognized for her appointment to the following committees of the National Association of Counties (NACo):
Following confirmation to the committees, the Vice Chair also received the distinguished honor of being elected as Southeastern Regional Chairwoman of NACo Women. Involvement in these committees will allow Vice Chair Adbur-Rahman to not only work with other elected officials around the country, but to share ideas and goals with county leaders that benefit District 6, Fulton County, and counties nationwide.
As a member of the Community, Economic and Workforce Development Committee, the Vice Chair will work with a team of leaders to implement strategies designed to strengthen the economic well-being, quality of housing, and the creation of jobs within the community. In her role with the Arts and Culture Commission, the Vice Chair will promote the importance of the arts. As a member of the Large Urban County Caucus (LUCC), Vice Chair Abdur-Rahman will assist other urban county leaders to be the voice for America’s metropolitan counties before Congress and the Administration.

The work that will be accomplished with NACo very much aligns with the work we are currently doing in the ‘Mighty 6’ District.”
