Become a Poll Worker

Apply to become one of the many civic-minded citizens who work at the polls on Election Day. The Fulton County Elections Office is seeking highly motivated dependable individuals to work from 5:30 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. (9:30 p.m. for City of Atlanta General Election) on Election Day.

Working as a poll worker will not affect government benefits such as social security or public aide and Is Not Reported to the IRS unless you earn $600.00 or more per year as a poll worker.

To be a poll worker you must:

• Have a willingness to serve
• Be at least 16 years of age.
• Be willing to work from 5 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Election Day, or until 9:30 p.m. in the City of Atlanta
• Read and write English
• Have reliable transportation

Face-to-face equipment training is required for all Poll Workers prior to each General Election. Poll Workers are paid $30.00 for completing face-to-face training in addition to their flat rate two weeks after the election date.
