Under the gold dome crossover day for 2024 has passed signaling that this year's Georgia General Assembly's Legislative session is more than two-thirds complete. Both chambers have passed roughly 275 thus far. The Senate passed Senate Resolution 579 allowing voters to decide whether the state should legalize sports betting. The bill now heads to the Georgia House where it will be debated, and if passed by the legislature and signed by the Governor the measure will be placed on the November 2024 ballot.
