Love is once again in the air in Fulton County. Probate Court is partnering with Superior and State Courts and the Clerk of Courts to offer free weddings this Valentine’s Day holiday.
Chief Probate Judge Kenya Johnson and a team of Fulton County judges will perform the free wedding ceremonies on Wednesday, February 14 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. in courtrooms 9G & 9J of the Fulton County Courthouse located at 136 Pryor Street SW, in downtown Atlanta.
“We all know that Valentine’s Day is a special time for couples,” said Judge Johnson. “It is through this partnership with the Chief Judges of Superior and State Courts that more Fulton County citizens will be able to have a free courthouse wedding ceremony experience.”
Chief Judge Ural Glanville and Chief Judge Wes Tailor, along with their respective associate judges will perform the complimentary wedding ceremonies in decorated courtrooms, complete with music and professional photography.
Couples wishing to participate in a wedding ceremony must first purchase a Fulton County marriage license from Probate Court. No appointment is needed for the ceremonies and each couple may invite up to 6 guests to view the ceremony in person. Couples with a marriage license from outside of Fulton County will incur an $80 fee to be wed. To learn more about marriage license requirements, visit
