Beginning in July, the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) will begin examining all aspects of the Fulton County Marshal’s Department’s policies and procedures, management, operations and support services. This process is taking place so that CALEA can verify the Marshal’s Department meets CALEA professional standards for law enforcement accreditation.

As part of the assessment process, members of the community are invited to offer comments regarding the Department’s compliance with CALEA standards, engagement in the service community, delivery of public safety services, and overall candidacy for accredited status. These comments can be in the form of commendations or concerns.
