Fulton County Mighty District 6 Commissioner Khadijah Abdur-Rahman is partnering with the Community Health Aligning Revitalization Resilience & Sustainability (CHARRS) in recognition of Earth Day. To celebrate, the Commissioner and CHARRS are hosting the Atlanta Repair Café on Saturday, April 22. The free event will be held from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at The Home Depot Backyard, 1 Backyard Way, Atlanta GA 30313.
The Repair Cafés are free meeting places where participants can work to repair things together. In the place where a Repair Café is located, you’ll find tools and materials to help with any type of repair on items such as clothing, furniture, electrical appliances, bicycles, crockery, appliances, toys, and more. Participants will also find volunteers, with expert repair skills.
Visitors may bring their broken items from home and together with the specialists they will start making their repairs in the Repair Café. For those with no need for repairs, you are invited to come out to lend a helping hand, or to simply enjoy a cup of coffee or tea.
