Fulton County District 5 Commissioner Marvin S. Arrington, Jr., will serve as a presenter during an upcoming Town Hall Meeting to educate residents about the resources and information available regarding the Homestead Exemption process. The Commissioner will join City of South Fulton Mayor Pro Tempore Natasha Williams-Brown, at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at Welcome All Park located at 4255 Will Lee Road, South Fulton, GA. 30349.
In Fulton County, a homestead exemption is a legal provision that helps to reduce the amount of property taxes on owner-occupied homes. The home must be your primary residence. Applications can be filed year-round but must be submitted on or before April 3rd in order to apply for the current tax year. Applications received after the deadline will be applied to the following tax year.
Commissioner Arrington is traveling around South Fulton throughout the month of March hosting Town Hall Meeting to provide insight to residents on the process and how to apply.
“We are here to not only educate residents, but to answer their questions about Homestead Exemptions,” said Commissioner Arrington. “The goal is to empower them with all the information needed to make informed decisions regarding this matter.”
