Fulton County to Host Free Wedding Ceremonies to Celebrate Valentine's Day

Couples will be able to freely say ‘I Do’ all day on February 14!
It will once again be all about love on Valentine’s Day in Fulton County. Chief Probate Judge Kenya Johnson will perform free wedding ceremonies on Tuesday, February 14, 2023.
The ceremonies will be performed from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Fulton County Courthouse in Courtroom 9G at 185 Central Avenue, SW in downtown Atlanta.
“During this special time, my office is honored to be able to be part of this big day for couples,” said Judge Johnson. “Even during this pandemic, love prevails, and we are excited to offer socially distanced ceremonies to a limited number of couples who choose to say, ‘I Do’ on this special day.”
Couples are required to schedule a time to walk down the aisle through court administration. Participants must bring their marriage license from probate court and a valid photo ID.
To obtain a marriage license, both applicants must appear in person at Fulton County Probate Court during regular weekday business hours.
Probate Court will offer additional weekend operating hours for couples on Saturday, February 11 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. to obtain marriage licenses in advance of their day of love. To apply for a marriage license on Saturday, February 11, applicants must enter the Fulton County Government Center at 141 Pryor Street, SW, Atlanta, Georgia.
Each couple may invite up to 10 guests to view the ceremony in person. COVID protocols will be followed strictly. In-person attendees will be required to always wear masks and practice social distancing protocols.
