Local and State Responders to Participate in Vista Forge Full-Scale Exercise

AFCEMA collaborates with military and related responders in radiological response exercise.
Atlanta-Fulton County Emergency Management Agency (AFCEMA) and partners. The Atlanta Fulton County Emergency Management Agency will participate in the Vista Forge Atlanta Full-Scale Exercise, which is a series of progressive mock exercises organized around a low-yield nuclear detonation scenario.

During a media briefing, the teams will discuss how local responders like AFCEMA, Atlanta Fire & Rescue Department, Department of Defense, Georgia Department of Agriculture, and others will prepare for the transfer of evacuees between military and civilian response systems in the event of a crisis.

The teams will also discuss the purpose and operation of family assistance centers. Several participants and observers from various military, local, state, federal, will be on site.
