Fulton County District 5 Commissioner Marvin S. Arrington, Jr. will be partnering with regional health and faith based organizations for a one-day, drive through COVID-19 vaccination event. This event is schedules for Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church; 2670 Hogan Road; East Point, GA 30344.
“Since the commencement of the pandemic, COVID-19 has affected those in brown and Black communities harder than others. I am thankful to be able to connect New Beginnings Today and MedCura Heath with Pastor Calloway, so that District 5 residents in East Point can have an additional opportunity to get vaccinated,” said Fulton County District 5 Commissioner, Marvin Arrington, Jr.
As part of this effort to offer vaccinations to residents, community partners in this event include New Beginnings Today and MedCura Health.
“We are proud to partner with Commissioner Marvin Arrington, Jr, New Beginnings Today, & MedCura Health for this much needed vaccine event at our church for our community”, said Rev. Earl L. Calloway, Senior Pastor of St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church.
“We were glad when Commissioner Arrington requested our assistance to bring vaccination opportunities directly to a local community of faith,” said Dr. Marcus Green, CEO of New Beginnings Today Behavioral Health Clinic. “It is New Beginnings Today’s mission to serve as a healing presence in this community and we are thrilled to collaborate with MedCura Health to work toward this goal.”
