Keehlan Haygood is the Deputy Legal Assistant overseeing the Civil Forfeiture, Capital & Cold Case, Gangs, and White Collar Crimes Units. He has 6 years of legal experience with the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office. Keehlan has a uniformly positive demeanor and is open and curious. Mr. Haygood has a history of excelling beyond expectations in all leadership’s roles because of his attention to detail and his commitment to ensuring the development of himself and his colleagues/teammates. His ability to work in conjunction with others is outstanding.
After graduating high school, he decided to take his talents to Daytona Beach, Florida, once he received a partial Band Scholarship to attend The Great Bethune-Cookman University and become a member of the Marching Wildcats. During his undergraduate studies, he was able to join a variety of organizations within the institution. He was inducted into Alpha Phi Sigma Criminal Justice Honor Society and became a member of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International.
He also joined Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., in spring of 2012. During his time in undergrad, Keehlan created two initiatives that signed several members of the community up for voting and created the first day of school initiative that allowed over 200 men in the community a chance to welcome students back to schools. These initiatives are just a small fraction of what leadership capabilities Mr. Haygood possesses.
