Assistant Chief Kendall Tucker possesses fifteen years of experience as a Georgia P.O.S.T Certified Peace Officer. He relocated to the state of Georgia in 2007 after receiving his bachelor’s degree from Bethune Cookman College in Daytona Beach, FL. Before beginning his career with the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, Tucker served in many different capacities as a Georgia P.O.S.T Certified Peace Officer.
Tucker began his law enforcement career in the State of Georgia as a State-Felony Probation Officer supervising registered Sex Offenders in Dekalb County in 2007. He was then transferred to the Henry County Police Department in 2010. There he performed duties as a Police Officer, S.W.A.T Operator, and Field Training Officer. In 2013, Tucker then transferred to the Clayton County Police Department. Tucker held supervisory positions as a Uniform Patrol Division Sergeant, Field Training Officer Coordinator, and Police Academy Drill Sergeant. Tucker then transferred to the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office in February 2022 as a Senior Investigator. He has worked in the Special Victims Division as a Domestic Violence Investigator and is currently serving in the Trial Division and as the office's Range Master.
During his career, Tucker has earned several advanced certifications. These certifications include General Instructor, Use of Force Instructor, S.W.A.T Operator, Field Training Officer, E.V.O.C Instructor, Standardized Field Sobriety Instructor, Firearms Instructor, and many more. Tucker has been awarded the 2022 Special Victims Platinum Award for his service. The foundation of his work ethic is built on, but not limited to integrity, transparency, humility, problem solving, and empowerment.
