Brian obtained his Bachelor of Criminal Justice Degree from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. Additionally, Brian attained a Master of Business Administration Degree from Saint Leo University. Brian is a proud veteran of the World’s Finest Fighting Force, the United States Marine Corps. Upon completion of college and military service Brian began his law enforcement career in Orange County, Florida, graduating from the Tallahassee Community College’s Pat Thomas Law Enforcement Academy.
Brian moved to Metro Atlanta and later became certified in Georgia, graduating from the North Central Georgia Law Enforcement Academy (2008). Brian holds certifications from the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police (Accreditation Management), the Institute of Police Technology and Management (Evidence Management, and Recruiting and Background Investigations), and the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission (Supervision Certificate).
Brian Salters began his employment with the Atlanta Judicial Circuit in February of 2014. During his tenure Brian has been assigned to the Trial Division, Special Victims Division, Capital Cold-Case Unit, Case Intake Division, and Civil Rights Division.
Brian is an active participant in the community and has served as a Sunday School Teacher, youth football coach, mentor, and cheer dad. Brian frequently volunteers throughout the Metropolitan Atlanta Area as a volunteer to numerous office-wide initiatives, and as member of professional organizations; namely, the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Professionals (Georgia Chapter Sergeant-at-Arms) and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. (Chapter Chaplain).
